How do I get started?

The first step is for us to have a free 15 minute phone call or video call to get a sense of each other. We will discuss why you are seeking therapy now and you will have a chance to ask questions about how I work with clients. People often schedule 2-3 brief consultations to get a feel for different therapists. You can schedule a consultation using the “book a consultation” button. If none of the available times work, please call or email me so we can find a time.

Do you see clients in person or virtually?

I prefer to work with people in person, especially when starting with a new client. Of course, there can be flexibility if traveling, immunocompromised, ill or other issues arise. I find in person therapy to be more connected, more present and less distracted and therefore more effective than virtual sessions.

Where are you located?

My office is located in Rockridge Oakland about 8 minute walk from the BART station. Parking is available on the street or for 1.5 hours in the Safeway lot.

What are your fees?

My fee is $210 for a 50 minute appointment. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots impacted by serious illness. If you have concerns regarding the cost but think we’d be a good fit please get in touch so we can discuss.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in network with Aetna and Optum. You can check with your insurance policy to see if there is coverage for out of network providers. I can provide a super bill for you to submit for reimbursement.
